Many are asking why there are so few Harris/ Walz signs displayed in Park Ridge. The answer is that several hundred have been stolen around the city from private property as well as from public property outside City Hall where early voting is taking place inside.
Dozens have been found in garbage cans and alleys, and others have been mangled while installed in private front yards, including my own.
It is troubling that some voting constituents of Park Ridge obviously do not believe in the tenet of protected political speech under the First Amendment that is taught to our children in our Park Ridge schools.
It is noteworthy that the signs of the main opposing political party have not been touched.
It appears that these crimes are not being committed in our surrounding communities.
