A 35-year-old man was charged Tuesday in connection with the Saturday fatal stabbing of a 29-year-old woman in the Lincoln Square neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Nurmuhammed Inus of the 2700 block of West Balmoral Avenue was charged with first degree murder in the fatal stabbing of Mairunnisa B. Osman, police said.
Osman, who lived in the West Ridge neighborhood, was discovered Saturday after a fight with Inus inside a residence where he lives, police said.
Inus allegedly fled the residence after the stabbing and was arrested shortly before noon on Saturday in the 5400 block of North Lincoln Avenue, police said.
Inus is scheduled to appear Tuesday afternoon at a detention hearing at 26th and California.
