Lincolnwood Fest to take place Thursday-Sunday with bands, car show, beer garden, more

Lincolnwood’s annual tradition of turning Proesel Park into a summer fun zone continues as Lincolnwood Fest kicks off Thursday, July 25, continuing through Sunday, July 28.

Fest-goers can expect many favorite bands playing live music (see schedule below), a carnival featuring rides and games, food booths, a kids’ tent, and the following special features at the fest, according to Karen Hawk, director of Lincolnwood’s Parks and Recreation Department.

All events take place at Proesel Park, 6915 N. Kostner Ave., Lincolnwood.

  • The Classic Car Show takes place Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • The Family Tent will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. Saturday performances include Mandala South Asian Performing Arts at 10 a.m., circus performer and aerialist Vy Huynh at 11 a.m., and Guille Rubio at noon. Sunday includes Jason Kollum, “The Bubble Guy” at 10 a.m. and JG’s Reptile Road Show at 11 a.m.
  • The Beer Garden will be open Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m.
  • The Chamber of Commerce Business Expo will take place on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Bingo will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. each night.

Food vendors include Slice Factory, Royal Ice Cream, Suzie’s Fun Foods, Enrique’s Place, Lee Concessions, Grecian Kitchen and Kona Ice of Norwood Park.

Live entertainment will fill the stage, with the following fan-favorite performers and bands on the schedule:

Thursday, July 25

  • 5:30 p.m.  AJ Herrera
  • 6:20 p.m. – Mia Cejovic
  • 7:30 p.m. – Starlight City

Friday, July 26

  • 5 p.m. – The Long Goodbye
  • 6:30 p.m. – Petty Union
  • 8 p.m. – The Disco Circus

Saturday, July 27

  • 1 p.m. – Mandala South Asian Performing Arts
  • 4 p.m. – School of Rock
  • 5:30 p.m. – Marlon & The Shakes
  • 7:15 p.m. – Jeff Givens Band
  • 8:45 p.m. – Wedding Banned

Sunday, July 28

  • 1 p.m. – The 77 Solution
  • 2:30 p.m. – Baby Cuts
  • 4 p.m. – Seventh Heaven
  • 6:30 p.m – Sixteen Candles

Last but not least, the carnival hours are Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., Friday from 5 to11 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m.

Unlimited rides cost $35 in prime time, which is Friday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and  Saturday from 6 to10 p.m.

Unlimited rides cost $30 in non-prime time, which is Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
