Two robbers battered a liquor store clerk Wednesday night before taking merchandise in the Lakeview neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 7:45 p.m., two males entered a liquor store in the 400 block of West Diversey Parkway and approached a clerk who was at the counter. The clerk was struck to his arm before the robbers fled the scene with merchandise, police said.
The clerk refused medical help.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
