Lollapalooza swaps headliners, with Tyler, the Creator off and Megan Thee Stallion added

Tyler, the Creator is off the lineup of headliners for this summer’s Lollapalooza in Grant Park, the music festival announced  Thursday on social media. Instead, Megan Thee Stallion will headline the opening night on Thursday, Aug. 1.

“Unfortunately, Tyler, the Creator will not be able to perform this year,” Lollapalooza posted. No further details were given about the cancellation. Tyler, the Creator had been announced as a headliner when the 2024 music lineup was first released in March.

Megan Thee Stallion performed in Chicago at the United Center on May 17-18 and was last at Lollapalooza in 2021, the same year that Tyler, the Creator also last appeared.

Lollapalooza 2024 runs Aug. 1-4 in Chicago’s Grant Park, with some 170 bands on eight stages, put on by C3 Presents, a division of Live Nation. Tickets are on sale at www.lollapalooza.com, with 1-Day General Admission sold out for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Other headliners include SZA, blink-182, The Killers, Future X Metro Boomin, Hozier, Stray Kids, Melanie Martinez and Skrillex.
