Loyola University men’s basketball coach Drew Valentine and his wife, Taylor, in August paid $2.45 million for a newly built house in Lakeview, and the couple at the same time sold their five-bedroom, 3,420-square-foot house in Glenview for $1.165 million.
Valentine, 33, was an assistant men’s basketball coach at Loyola from 2017 until 2021, when he was promoted to be head coach upon the departure of longtime head coach Porter Moser.
In Glenview, the Valentines paid $995,000 in 2021 to buy their house, which at that time was newly built. That house has 4 ½ bathrooms, white oak hardwood floors, Pella wood windows, LED recessed lighting, Hardie board siding and a family room with a fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a large island with 2.5-inch quartz countertops, a built-in Sub-Zero refrigerator, a 36-inch Viking range and a draw microwave. Other features in the Glenview home include a primary bedroom suite that has a walk-in closet, a steam shower, a double vanity and a heated bathroom floor.
Valentine’s new house in Lakeview was constructed by homebuilder Pero Hess LLC. It was not publicly listed, so other details about it are not publicly available.
Real estate agent Chloe Reynolds, who represented the Valentines in the sale of the Glenview house, declined to comment.
The Glenview house had a $21,318 property tax bill in the 2023 tax year.
