Man, 19, dies after being critically wounded Wednesday night on Far South Side

A 19-year-old man was pronounced dead after being critically wounded near a park Wednesday night in the Princeton Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.

About 9:15 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 700 block of West 93rd Street and found a man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken in  critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead.

A witness told police the teenage man was shot by a gunman who ran to a vehicle and fled the scene in a black sedan.

No one was in custody for the fatal shooting, and detectives were investigating.
