Man, 30, fatally wounded entering Little Village restaurant, employee also struck by gunfire

A 30-year-old old man was gunned down while he was attempting to enter a restaurant Monday night in the Little Village neighborhood where an employee also was wounded, Chicago police said.

About 11:35 p.m., the victim was trying to enter a restaurant in the 4100 block of West 26th Street when two gunmen approached an d opened fire striking him multiple times to the head. The gunshots pierced through the glass and struck a 27-year-old woman who is an employee, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was listed in serious condition, police said.

No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
