Man, 35, condition stabilized after being wounded Saturday morning in Little Village

A 35-year-old man’s condition was stabilized after he was shot in the neck Saturday morning in a double shooting on the Southwest Side in the Little Village neighborhood, Chicago police said.

About 6:10 a.m., the victim was outside in the 3000 block of West Komensky Avenue when he heard gunfire and felt pain, police said. He suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, and got himself to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized.

A second victim also walked into the same hospital with a graze wound to the left ankle and reported he was shot at the same location, police said.

Police also said at least one of the victims refused to cooperate and would not answer any questions.
