Man, 41, fatally wounded, 2 others injured in shooting Wednesday night in Chicago Lawn

A 41-year-old man was fatally wounded, and two other men were injured Wednesday night in a shooting on the South Side in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 8 p.m., the three victims were standing on the sidewalk in the 6200 block of South Campbell Avenue when two people approached them and opened fire, police said.

A 41-year-old man suffered a wound to the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man, 51, was shot to the right leg and taken to UChicago Medicine where he was listed in good condition. Ac third man, 37, suffered wounds to the arm and leg, and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in fair condition, police said.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
