A 36-year-old man suffered multiple lacerations to his body during a fight on a CTA Red Line train overnight in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side, Chicago police said.
About 3:30 a.m., the man was on a train in the 1100 block of West Wilson Avenue when he was approached by another male passenger and a fight ensued, police said. During the fight, the other person pulled out a sharp object and attacked the victim.
The victim suffered multiple lacerations to the body, and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
The suspect fled the scene and no one was in custody. Detectives are investigating.
