A 20-year-old man was left in critical condition overnight following a stabbing in the Streeterville neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, the victim was walking with a group of people in the 200 block of East Illinois Street when the group was approached by another group and an argument ensued. Someone in the second group pulled out a sharp object and damage another victim’s vehicle.
The first victim was then stabbed in the lower abdomen, police said. The 20-year-old man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
The suspect in the stabbing fled the scene and no one was in custody. Detectives are investigating.
