Man cut with knife at Soldier Field hours after Bears’ victory

A 41-year-old man cut a 38-year-old man with a knife at Soldier Field a few hours after the Chicago Bears defeated the Carolina Panthers by 26 points on Sunday, police said.

The alleged offender was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim around 6:10 p.m. at a sports venue in 1400 block of South Special Olympics Drive, according to Chicago police. Soldier Field’s address is 1410 S. Special Olympics Dr. The Bears game ended around 3:30 p.m.

Authorities said the alleged offender eventually pulled out a knife and cut the victim’s left shoulder and face.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, according to the Chicago Police Department. The alleged offender was in custody and charges were pending.
