A 42-year-old man died of his injuries after he was found shot in a third floor apartment in the South Shore neighborhood on Sunday night, Chicago police said.
The man was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to the face and chest in a building in the 7800 block of south Bennett Avenue at approximately 9 p.m., police said.
He was transported in critical condition to UChicago Medicine by the Chicago Fire Department before being pronounced dead, according to police.
No one is in custody. Detectives are investigating.
