A 42-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were involved in an argument Friday night that escalated to a shooting that left one dead and the other in critical condition, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 8:15 p.m., two men, 42 and 33 years of age were arguing in the Gage Park neighborhood in the 5500 block of South Spaulding Avenue when one of the men pulled out a handgun. A struggle for the gun.ensued and both of the men were shot, police said.
The older man suffered multiple wounds and was taken by paramedics to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead. The younger man also suffered multiple wounds to the body and was taken to the same hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one was arrested, and detectives were investigating.
