A 36-year-old man was fatally wounded Wednesday night during an argument on the South Side in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 9:20 p.m., the victim was involved in an argument with a male and a female in the 7000 block of South Ashland Avenue when the male pulled out a weapon and shot him before fleeing the scene, police said.
The victim was taken with two gunshot wounds to the chest to UChicago Medicine where he was later pronounced dead.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
