Man fatally wounded in shooting Tuesday morning in West Garfield Park neighborhood

A 31-old-man was gunned down Tuesday morning by at least four shooters in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m., the victim was inside of a parked vehicle in the 200 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue when four male suspects inside a possible Nissan sedan exited and opened fire in his direction, police said.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was dropped off at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park where he was pronounced dead.

The shooters returned to the sedan and fled the scene, police said.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
