Man fatally wounded overnight on Far South Side in Roseland

An unidentified man was fatally wounded overnight in a drive-by shooting on the Far South Side in the Roseland neighborhood, Chicago police said.

About 1 a.m. Tuesday, the victim described as between 35 to 45 years of age was outside in the 9900 block of South Princeton Avenue when he was shot by someone in a red vehicle, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one was in custody for the fatal shooting and detectives were investigating.
