A 40-year-old man was in critical condition following a shooting Saturday morning on the West Side in the Garfield Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 8:15 a.m., a 40-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest in the 3800 block of West Monroe Street. He was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
