Man stabbed Monday night on Red Line train at Loyola Avenue in Rogers Park

A 36-year-old man was in good condition after being attacked with a knife on a Red Line CTA train at Loyola Avenue, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 11 p.m., the victim was a passenger on a CTA train when someone approached him with a knife and attacked him for unknown reasons, police said.

The man suffered a laceration to the right cheek and nose, and was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was listed in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
