Two south suburban Cook County mass COVID-19 vaccination sites will accept walk-in appointments starting Wednesday as demand for shots dwindles. The Matteson and Tinley Park mass vaccination locations are opening up access this week as part of a pilot to see whether removing the barrier of making an appointment online or over the phone will expand the county’s endeavor at getting shots into arms, Cook County Health CEO Israel Rocha Jr. said in a news conference at Provident Hospital.
