Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Friday she has “1,000% confidence” in Chicago police Superintendent David Brown despite a scathing inspector general this week that faulted his department’s handling of last spring’s protests and looting that beset the nation and city after George Floyd’s killing in Minneapolis.
