A McHenry man died over the weekend following an electric scooter crash, the Lake County Coroner’s Office said Tuesday.
The man was identified as Bruce Neiswanger, 53, the coroner’s office said.
McHenry County authorities were called at 9:56 a.m. Saturday to an address in the 5000 block of South Wildwood Drive near McHenry, after receiving a report of a man not responsive after crashing a scooter.
When authorities arrived, bystanders were performing CPR on Neiswanger. He was brought to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital near Barrington, where he was pronounced dead in the ICU on Sunday.
The coroner’s office said autopsy results indicated that Neiswanger died from blunt force injuries.
