The Elgin Police Department has a new comfort dog to work with a unit that conducts follow-up visits with individuals who could benefit from mental or behavioral health services. Chance is a 12-week-old golden retriever who will participate in investigations and help victims of crime with his handler, officer Craig Arnold.
