Missing Wisconsin man found dead in a partially submerged car in Rosemont

A Wisconsin man who had previously been reported missing was found dead on Friday inside a car that was partially submerged in a creek in northwest suburban Rosemont, according to Illinois State Police.

Benjamin Oberto, a 45-year-old man from New Berlin, Wisconsin, was reported missing to the New Berlin Police Department on Thursday, leading to an ensuing search.

Illinois State Police announced Saturday that Oberto had identified as the man found dead inside a Subaru Impreza by Rosemont Police Department divers. The car, which was registered in Wisconsin, was located Friday in a creek at the bottom of an embankment by the curve of the I-90 eastbound ramp to I-294 northbound, police said.
