A Montgomery man has been charged with sexually assaulting and abusing five minors between 2008 and 2022, the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office and Montgomery police announced in a joint news release on Thursday.
Michael G. Farris, 84, of the 200 block of South Main Street in Montgomery, was taken into custody on Wednesday at his home, the release said.
Farris is charged with 23 counts of felony criminal sexual assault and 67 counts of felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to the release, related to alleged sexual acts with five minors between the ages of 13 and 17 years old between Jan. 20, 2008, and July 30, 2022.
His first court appearance was Thursday at the Kane County Judicial Center.
