A Mundelein man was killed Friday in a multi-vehicle accident in Libertyville, according to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
He was identified as 77-year-old Neal Raffeld.
Authorities said Raffeld’s vehicle, a van from an auto parts store, entered the intersection of Winchester and Butterfield roads at 11:46 a.m. and was hit by a UPS box truck. An SUV was also involved in the crash, authorities said.
For an unknown reason, Raffeld’s vehicle entered the intersection, running through a red light, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
