Munster man killed in Illinois crash

A Munster man was killed after he was involved in a Friday morning crash in Joliet, Illinois.

Robert S. Roach, Jr., 32, was pronounced dead at 8:50 a.m. Friday after the crash, which occurred near the 23000 block of S. Chicago St. in Joliet, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office.

Roach was the driver of a vehicle involved in a motor vehicle collision, the coroner said, and preliminary autopsy findings indicate that he suffered multiple injuries due to the crash.

The Joliet Police are investigating the incident, but haven’t released any additional details in terms of whether the crash involved another vehicle or a possible cause. Police said that details on the crash are pending a toxicology report.
