Munster High School senior Jordan Fefferman earned 19th place in the dramatic interpretation event, which included 202 participants.
She competed with the Munster speech team representing Indiana at the 2025 National Individual Events Tournament of Champions May 16-18 in Kansas City, Mo.
The event drew more than 2,000 of the nation’s top speech competitors from more than 300 high schools across the country.
On June 14-21, Fefferman will compete at the National Speech & Debate Association National Tournament—the world’s largest academic competition—in Des Moines, Iowa.
Fefferman holds the Indiana state record with five individual state championships, a feat that places her among the elite in the state’s storied speech history, Munster officials said.
