Maintenance work on commuter parking lots starts Friday

Several Naperville commuter parking lots will be undergoing maintenance work beginning Friday, Aug. 9, and continuing through mid-August, city officials said.

Crews will work over the weekend to minimize patron disruptions, meaning there will be no parking in work areas from 6 p.m. Fridays through 6 a.m. Mondays during the planned work schedules.

Work is to be done between Friday, Aug. 9, and Monday, Aug. 12, at these lots: Kroehler; 190 E. 5th Ave.; Parkview; about half of the Route 59 lot on the north side of the railroad; and half of the Upper Burlington lot.

Between Friday, Aug. 16, and Monday, Aug. 19, work is scheduled for the 4th Avenue lot; the second half of the Route 59 lot north of the railroad; the other half of the Upper Burlington Lot; and Water Tower West.

The work being done will improve the parking lot conditions and provide a smoother surface, officials said.

Weather may affect the planned schedule, officials said.
