Naperville District 203 OKs small fee increases for 2025-26
The Naperville District 203 School Board has approved slight increases in general, optional and high school course fees for the 2025-26 academic year.
The general fee for kindergarten to high school will go up by $4 to directly increase the school allocation budgets, district officials said.
Half-day kindergarten program fees will increase by $2, and the cost of junior high yearbooks will increase by $2 to cover the costs, officials said.
The board also approved annual high school course fees, which included some increases for classes based on increases in printing costs, revisions to the curriculum, and associated instructional materials and escalations in publisher prices, district officials said. The fees are paid by students enrolled in those classes.
Some of the courses that will see a rate increase in the 2025-26 school year include various art classes such as Advanced Placement drawing as well as Play Production, Photography, Accounting and Veterinary Science. Some Advanced Placement social studies courses, technology and engineering courses and world languages courses will also raise prices from last school year.
Most of the changes amount to about a $5 increase over last year’s fees.
