Renovated playground at Frontier Sports Complex now open
A newly renovated playground is now open at the Frontier Sports Complex, 3380 Cedar Glade Drive, Naperville Park District officials announced.
While more amenities are expected to be added next month, the playground is ready for use. It’s similar to one installed at the Winding Creek Park earlier this year, officials said.
A 14-foot diamond climber structure topped with an enclosed, winding slide is the main feature of the playground. Other climbers, a track ride, two spinners, a swing set with an inclusive swing and an area designed for 2- to 5-year-olds are among the new amenities.
The playground also features a new picnic shelter. More equipment is scheduled to be installed in December, weather permitting, including a disc swing, picnic tables and benches, officials said.
The work was part of the park district’s 2024 capital improvement projects.
