A boy named Maverick was the first announced baby born in Chicago area hospitals this year.Maverick Franco was delivered at 12:01 a.m. Friday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, hospital officials announced. The newborn was 20 inches long and weighed in at seven pounds six ounces. His parents, Kratia and Marlon Franco, live in Crete with their son’s six siblings.
