The quandary of masks on transit and planes is back in play after the U.S. Department of Justice on Wednesday appealed a federal judge’s ruling tossing out the COVID-19 mandate. The Justice Department’s actions followed a request from the the U.S. Centers for Disease Control: “It is CDC’s continuing assessment that at this time an order requiring masking in the indoor transportation corridor remains necessary for the public health.”
