One man was killed and a suspect is in custody following a fatal shooting Sunday in Lakemoor, according to police.
Neither the victim nor the suspect have been identified by authorities.
Lakemoor police said they were notified at about 1:23 p.m. of a reported shooting in the 100 block of Rand Road, which is Illinois Route 120.
Arriving officers said they found a man lying in the roadway. He was brought by Wauconda paramedics to Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry and was pronounced dead at 2:01 p.m.
Police said a person of interest was in custody and that there is no immediate threat to the public.
