An argument between three men in Garfield Ridge on Friday night turned violent, leaving one fatally shot and two others wounded, Chicago police said.
Two men aged 27 and 31, one of whom was armed, approached a 28-year-old male employee with a concealed carry license in the 7000 block of W Archer Avenue at approximately 8 p.m. on Friday, Chicago police said.
A verbal argument then escalated into an exchange of gunfire, in which the 27-year-old man was shot multiple times and later pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center, according to police.
The two other men were also transported to Loyola University Medical Center for their injuries. The 31-year-old man was shot in the leg and was in fair condition, while the 28-year-old employee was in critical condition after a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.
No one is in custody. Detectives are investigating the incident.
