Online forum with Indian Prairie School District 204 board candidates set for March 6

The League of Women Voters of Naperville and the Indian Prairie Parents’ Council are hosting a free, virtual forum on Thursday for the five candidates running for the Indian Prairie School District 204 board in the April 1 election, according to a news release from the League of Women Voters of Naperville.

The event, which will take place at 5 p.m. on March 6, will include the five candidates who are running for four, four-year spots on the board – Laurie Donahue, Susan Demming, Supna Jain, Allison Fosdick and Allison Albert.

Of those, all but Albert are incumbents. Donahue is the current board president, Demming is the current vice president and Jain is the secretary, according to the district’s website.

The Indian Prairie Education Association and Indian Prairie Classified Association’s candidate questionnaires, which discuss the candidates’ views on and priorities for the district, can be found at https://www.ipsd.org/site/default.aspx?PageType=3&DomainID=4&ModuleInstanceID=4426&ViewID=6446EE88-D30C-497E-9316-3F8874B3E108&RenderLoc=0&FlexDataID=14797&PageID=1.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, nonprofit political organization, the news release said. The Indian Prairie Parents’ Council oversees the District 204 Parent Teacher Associations and Parent Teacher Student Associations.

Residents can register for the forum at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_yjmKC8yTQemRHiFR2cWzgA#/registration. The forum will also be recorded for anyone who can’t attend on Thursday, according to the news release, and will be available on the League of Women Voters of Naperville’s YouTube channel.

Voters in the district can cast their ballots for school board candidates on April 1. Both DuPage County and Will County also offer early voting options – by mail, and in-person starting March 17. A list of all early voting locations and how to vote can be found on the DuPage County and Will County Clerk’s Office websites.
