Roughly 40 people gathered Friday on the steps of the old Kane County Courthouse in Geneva to remember the more than 1,000 people Kane County has lost to COVID-19 since the beginning of the global pandemic. Among them were the family of Frank Giampoli, a longtime Geneva attorney who died of COVID in December 2020.
