The following items were taken from Park Ridge police reports. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Suspicious circumstance
A woman was awakened by a light shining into her bedroom window on Aug. 20 at 5:30 a.m. The victim saw a drone hovering around her window with the camera facing inwards in the 800-900 block of North Northwest Highway. The drone left after several minutes.
Battery
Two individuals involved in a road rage incident exited I-90 near Higgins Road and pulled up to the 7-Eleven at 814 W. Higgins Road on Aug. 24 at 4 p.m. The offender punched the victim three or four times in the face and fled the scene in a black Nissan pickup truck.
A 37-year-old Chicago man was arrested for battery at 200 S. Vine Ave. on Aug. 29 at 4 p.m.
Burglary
A victim’s apartment at an assisted living facility was burglarized sometime between Aug. 1 and Aug. 23. at 10 N. Summit Ave.
A victim’s apartment at an assisted living facility was burglarized sometime between Aug. 17 and Aug. 20 at 10 N. Summit Ave.
An unknown offender broke into a Ford Explorer parked at the Park Ridge County Club at 636 N. Prospect Avenue to steal personal items from it during the overnight hours of Aug. 26.
Two unknown male offenders broke into a vehicle to steal numerous items on Aug. 27 at 2:46 a.m. in the 900-1000 block of Goodwin Drive. The incident was caught on surveillance footage.
Unknown offenders smashed the front driver’s seat window of a 2018 Ford Transit and stole tools from it before fleeing the scene in the overnight hours of Aug. 27 in the 300-400 block of Redfield Court.
Two unknown female offenders stole a large amount of merchandise from the Walgreens at 800 Devon Ave. on Aug. 29 at 4:30 p.m.
Two unknown male offenders filled a shopping cart and a tote bag with stolen alcohol from the Mariano’s at 1900 S. Cumberland Ave. on Aug. 29 at 5:58 p.m.
Theft over $500
An unknown offender stole a locked motorized scooter that was parked near Wilson Field at Maine South High School during the daytime hours of Aug. 26.
Criminal damage to property
A 27-year-old Chicago man was arrested for criminal damage to property at 200 S. Vine Ave. on Aug. 26 at 11:28 a.m.
Attempted vehicle theft
Unknown offenders broke the rear driver’s side window of a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and pulled out the molding of the passenger seat floor to access the vehicle’s wiring in an apparent attempt to steal the vehicle during the overnight hours of Aug. 28 at 1 S. Northwest Highway.
Criminal cannabis possession
A Park Ridge juvenile was arrested for possessing cannabis and drug paraphernalia in the 2700 block of West Sibley Avenue on Aug. 29 at 5 p.m.
Traffic violations
A 38-year-old Chicago man was arrested for driving on a suspended license and a seatbelt violation in the 1200 block of West Touhy Avenue on Aug. 26 at 6:12 p.m.
A 38-year-old Franklin Park man was arrested for driving on a suspended license and improper lane usage in the 1900 block of Cumberland Avenue on Aug. 27 at 4:46 p.m.
A 38-year-old Des Plaines man was arrested for driving without a license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and an electronic device violation near the the intersection of Potter Road and Ballard Road on Aug. 28 at 8:28 p.m.
A 42-year-old Chicago man was arrested for driving on a revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving a vehicle with a suspended registration in the 1200 block of South Dee Road on Aug. 29 at 1:32 a.m.
A 35-year-old Chicago man was arrested for driving without a driver’s license, a seat belt violation and operating an uninsured vehicle near the intersection of Potter Road and Dempster Street on Aug. 30 at 7:11 p.m.
A 39-year-old Chicago woman was arrested for DUI alcohol, improperly using their turn signal, improper traffic lane usage, operating an uninsured vehicle and failing to obey a stop sign in the 1200 block of West Lahon Avenue on Aug. 30 at 11:30 p.m.
A 43-year-old Niles woman was arrested for driving without a license and speeding 15-20 mph over the limit in the 1300 block of Oakton Street on Aug. 31 at 4:20 a.m.
An 18-year-old Chicago woman was arrested for driving without a driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle and improperly parking on a roadway near the intersection of Dempster Street and Dee Road on Aug. 31 at 9:28 a.m.
A 35-year-old Detroit, Michigan man was arrested for driving on a revoked license and criminal trespass to a vehicle in the 200 block of north Western Avenue on Sep. 2 at 11:35 p.m.
Municipal code violation
A 35-year-old Park Ridge woman was cited a municipal code violation for failing to control a large dog in the 400 block of South Clifton Avenue on Sep. 1 at 7:45 p.m.
