A 38-year-old man was fatally shot Friday night while sitting as a passenger in a vehicle driving on N Springfield Avenue in Humboldt Park, police said.
Shots were fired in the area at approximately 9:50 p.m. Friday while the vehicle was passing through the 400 block of N Springfield Avenue.
The passenger, who was shot in the face and the chest, was pronounced dead after being driven to the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.
No one is in custody. Police are investigating the incident.
