It took eight long years for Sarah Soleman to get a murky part of Britain’s post-World War II history from the pages of a book to our TV screens. “Ridley Road,” a four-part series that makes its U.S. debut Sunday, May 1, on PBS’ “Masterpiece,” takes viewers to a part of British history that they may not have known.
