A person of interest was arrested Friday morning after carjacking a city vehicle from a woman in the River North neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 8:15 a.m., a woman city worker was in the 300 block of East Chicago Avenue when she was approached by someone who demanded her city vehicle. She complied and the carjacker fled west on C hicago Avenue.
The city vehicle was recovered and a person of interest was taken into custody. Detectives are investigating.
