A Chicago police officer was shot and badly hurt during a shootout on March 1, 2023, on the Southwest Side, officials said.
The officer was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were listed in “very critical” condition, said Chicago Fire department spokesman Larry Langford.
