Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson hosted student-athletes, coaches, and staff from CPS schools, Hope Academy and Dyett Arts High School. The schools celebrated their Illinois High School Association basketball state championships in divisions 1A and 2A. The mayor’s ceremonial office at City Hall was the setting for the celebration. DePaul College Prep also won the championship in the 3A division.
