Dax the German Sheperd, one of the celebrated police dogs employed by the Lake County sheriff’s office, helped police find a woman who was evading police in Round Lake after stabbing someone early Wednesday morning, the office said. In a separate incident 24 hours earlier, the dog found a man who’d been beaten in Beach Park.
