The body of a dead man whose identity is unknown was found early Tuesday morning along Main Street, east of Route 31, Carpentersville police said.
No cause of death or how the man came be where he was found is currently known, a news release from Carpentersville Deputy Police Chief Kevin Stankowitz said. A passerby discovered the body about 3:30 a.m.
An autopsy will be conducted Wednesday by the Kane County Coroner’s Office. The victim is described as having dark brown hair and is believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s, the release said.
