After a week of the ups and downs of Chicago weather, more snow was a possibility over the weekend, National Weather Service officials said.
So far Friday, current conditions at O’Hare International Airport are partly cloudy at 35 degrees. Farther south at Midway Airport are a few clouds at 37 degrees.
Friday weather officials are expecting partly sunny conditions during the day with a high near 58 degrees and wind gusts near 40 mph. But overnight Friday, there is a 40 percent chance of rain and snow showers between 3 to 4 a.m., officials said.
Saturday, officials expect more snow in the area before 10 a.m. with wind gust up to 30 mph.
Sunday, a high in the low 50s is expected with a 90 percent chance of precipitation. Sunday night, rain showers may transition into snow showers when a low in the 30s is expected, officials said.
Monday, there is a 30 percent chance of snow showers between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. with highs expected to reach the mid 40s.
Finally Tuesday, partly sunny conditions are expected with temperatures expected to hit 46 degrees.
