Gov. J.B. Pritzker will propose a roughly $1 billion package of tax relief measures aimed at mitigating the impact of inflation on Illinoisans when he gives his budget address Wednesday. It would suspend the 1% grocery tax for one year, suspend the automatic increase in the motor fuel tax and provide a 5% property tax rebate to qualifying property owners.
