Jeremy Booth, PROGRAM 15 Founder, CEO and President of Baseball Operations for The New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series has confirmed that Veteran Sports Dietitian Becci Twombley will be taking on the role of Director of Performance Nutrition for the organization.
A Registered Dietitian and Expert in Sports Dietetics, Twombley has over 15 years of experience coaching athletes in nutrition, which includes serving as the Team Sports Dietitian for the Los Angeles Angels and Lakers. She is a founding Board Member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association and the former Director of Sports Nutrition at the University of Southern California and UCLA. Twombley is also a consultant to Cirque du Soleil as well as Brand Ambassador for the America Pistachio Growers and Cheribundi.
Twombley will attend the upcoming 2020 New Balance Future Stars Series National, World, and Underclass Combines to educate players on how to get better results, become stronger, faster, and more explosive through nutrition and diet design.
Booth said, “To call Becci a big addition isn’t doing her justice. It’s not often you get to add one of the best in the world to your staff with the sole goal of helping players be the best version of themselves. Becci works with the superstars of the sports world today, and it’s only fitting she will be involved with the stars of tomorrow.”
Participation in the New Balance Future Stars Series National, World, and Underclass Combines are by invitation only. Following each evaluation and testing combine, players will participate in a series of live games that will be broadcast globally by Flobaseball, the exclusive Live Streaming and On-Demand Coverage Provider for The New Balance Baseball Future Stars Series.
Led by PROGRAM 15’s National Staff of former Major League and professional players, scouts, and coaches, Future Stars Series Training and Evaluation Combines have garnered a reputation as the most comprehensive amateur baseball player identification and development experiences available.
All players will be evaluated by PROGRAM 15 staff for potential invitations to join the 2020 World and National Team Rosters for the Future Stars Series International Week, where they will compete head to head at the annual signature event of New Balance Baseball and PROGRAM 15 scheduled for August 21 and 22 in Boston, MA with the Main Event to be held at Fenway Park on August 21.
