Prosecutors suggested methodical police work led to the arrest of Paul Zalewski for the 2018 murder of Vladimir Esquivel, of Arlington Heights. Defense attorneys, however, say Mount Prospect police moved too quickly to arrest Zalewski, whose murder trial began Tuesday in Rolling Meadows.
